Item Description

One of the rarely seen old classic pseudomorphs from Mina, Nevada featuring beautiful blue colored Turquoise which has replaced a hexagonal crystal of Apatite. These are quite uncommon on the market today, but I've seen several species replaced by Turquoise from this locality including Gypsum and Azurite. If you collect thumbnails, pseudomorphs or unusual esoteric minerals, be sure to pick this one up as it's certainly good quality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6573). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
