Item Description
Turquoise is rare and desirable accessory from the famous mines at Bisbee. Classic turquoise-blue blebs are richly to sparsely scattered on the blocky nodule from the Lavender Pit. The largest bleb is 7 mm. This colorful piece is probably from a shear zone within the pit, as there are brecciated quartz fragments in the piece. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12276 and acquired from Scott Williams at the 1990 Denver Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). RARE and excellent Bisbee turquoise.
