Item Description

Classic, beautiful turquoise-blue color on this fine and rich unpolished sliced turquoise nodule. This well-known older Nevada locale has probably produced over 500,000 pounds of turquoise (MINDAT). Ex Kay Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10240 and acquired from Harvey Gordon of Sierra Nevada Minerals. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). She passed away in 2020. Dense carving grade material at 138 grams mass. Seldom on the market today from here!
