Item Description
A lovely representative specimen of Turquoise labeled only as coming from "Nevada", but likely from one of the various localities in Lander County. Beautiful bright blue patches of solid Turquoise can be seen on all sides, with attached brown host rock. A cool specimen with good, solid, rich Turquoise. The piece originally was part of the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Collection #233. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here. The piece comes with a typed label from Wulff on one of his famous 3x5 index cards and his little display base / tag. Most recently from the collection of Brian Kosnar.
