Item Description

Turgite is actually defined as a mixture of Goethite and Hematite, and is not a valid mineral species. In addition to its fine rutiles, Graves Mountain is known for these Turgites due to their unique appearance. Sometimes they are iridescent, depending on the luster, but this specimen has a more of a metallic golden appearance. It does have the beautiful spherical stalactitic appearance that is often seen in good quality Turgites. Don't miss out.
