Item Description
Tugtupite is a very rare Na-Be silicate with chloride, a member of the Helvine Group, which is a subgroup of the Sodalite Group species. Specimens are rare from this Greenland Type Locality. Patches of pastel-pink tugtupite are noted on both sides of the sodalite and albite matrix. It fluoresces deep red under SW UV light and orange-pink under LW UV light. A fascinating species! Comes with a label from respected rarites dealer Josef Vajdak (Pequa Minerals). Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
