This is an exceptional specimen showcasing a striking combination of light yellow diopside crystals nestled alongside vivid green tsavorite crystals on a graphite matrix. Remarkably, the graphite has crystallized, displaying distinct hexagonal shapes. This specimen stands out as a superb thumbnail for both its paragenesis and the stunning color of the tsavorite. In the world of gemstones, tsavorites are often referred to as the "king" of the garnet group. Matrix specimens like this are exceedingly rare due to the typical extraction methods of gem materials and the local geology, where tectonic movements often fracture or fragment these crystals.
