Item Description
A rare and excellent two species combination from the Hungry Hollow fossil locality in Ontario. The Widder Shale is Middle Devonian in age (393-383 mya). This well-prepared specimen hosts a very sharp, 3.0 cm, Greenops boothi trilobite and a 2.9 cm, coiled ammonite, Tornoceras arkonense. The fully inflated trilobite has very sharp detail with fine eye facets. The ammonite is lustrous and pyritic, and has a bit of attached shale. Such excellent combinations are seldom on the market. A choice combination fossil from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Collected in June, 1986, according to Robert's label.
