Item Description
Tremolite is not often found in sharp, gemmy crystals, they can often be opaque and dull colored. The specimens from near Minden are excellent examples of this well known Apmhibole species. The main crystal on this specimen is sharp, well-formed and shows a good amount of silky yellow-green color and gemminess. I honestly thought it was a Tourmaline when I first picked it up. These pieces are not common, and if you know anything about Amphibole minerals, they're typically not seen in sharp gemmy crystals. The stone that accompanies the specimen is not only virtually eye clean in clarity and has as "Cut Corner Step Square" cut with colorless internal brilliance. You don't see many Tremolite gems on the market, let alone colorless beauties like this. Valued at $950 retail.
