Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of Tremolite from the Henderson Mine (Canada Talc Mine) in Ontario. This piece features several translucent, soft green colored partial crystals of prismatic Tremolite measuring up to 1.1 cm long sitting among crystalline copper colored Chalcopyrite on host rock matrix. Upon close inspection, you'll see the Chalcopyrite has a bit of iridescent coloring with slight golden and pink highlights here and there. If you collect Canadian minerals or if you're a fan of amphibole species, do not miss out on this one, as it is the FIRST specimen of Tremolite that we've ever had to offer from this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6013). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
