Tremolite (fluorescent!)

A rarity from this lesser known former Magnesite deposit in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Tremolite specimens from this locality aren't necessarily the most beautiful examples of the species, but when you place them under SW UV light, they GLOW with color. This particular piece shows a great mix of vibrant blue and orange hues under fluorescent lighting. In simple daylight, the piece is a chalky white color with fibrous radial bursts of crystals on matrix. Personally, I have never seen this material bfeore, but it certainly would make a great addition to a fluorescent minerals suite.
