Item Description

Tremolite is not often found in sharp, gemmy crystals, they can often be opaque and dull colored. The specimens from near Minden are excellent examples of this well known Apmhibole species. The crystal on this thumbnail is a sharp, well-formed example and shows a good amount of silky-green color and gemminess. I honestly thought it was a Tourmaline when I first picked it up. How often does one see such a sharp and well-formed crystal of Tremolite. These pieces are not common, and if you know anything about Amphibole minerals, they're typically not seen in sharp gemmy crystals.
