Item Description

Tremolite is not often found in sharp, gemmy crystals, they can often be opaque and dull colored. The specimens from near Minden are excellent examples of this well known Apmhibole species. The crystals on this thumbnail are sharp, well-formed and show a good amount of silky-green color and gemminess. I honestly thought it was a Tourmaline when I first picked it up. These pieces are not common, and if you know anything about Amphibole minerals, they're typically not seen in sharp gemmy crystals.
