Item Description

These uncommon and showy elbaites are called "mushroom tourmalines", due to their unusual shape. Mogok is the only locality, that has produced a quantity of these. It also looks like an striking inverted heart with diamonds! The translucent, nubby crystal has gorgeous, raspberry-red color and one side is preferentially festooned with sparkly quartz points, which is rare for the find. The contacted back reveals the radiating, elongated crystals with a darker core. The backlit photo highlights the rich red color density. Excellent and uncommon combination material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. You don"t see many of these around anymore, especially with quartz crystals like this. valued $900
