Tourmaline with Lepidolite

A showy, three-dimensional group of gemmy, silvery-blue colored prismatic Tourmaline crystals from the famed Pederneira Mine in Brazil. The Tourmalines are covered by groups of pinkish-lilac colored Lepidolite in areas for a great contrast of color. Now it must be noted that Lepidolite is no longer a valid mineral species, and according to the scattered information we found, Lepidolite is defined as a mineral in the so-called Polylithionite-Trilithionite series. With that said, we're still calling it Lepidolite. If you look closely, you can see some brilliant pink hues on the terminations of the Tourmaline group, for a nice highlight to the piece. Pederneira Tourmalines are some of the most prized and acclaimed Tourmalines from any mine in the world. The specimen is in great condition, as the main termination is undamaged, and overgrown with Lepidolite, but the two lower accessory Tourmaline crystals are contacted.
