Tourmaline with Lepidolite

Item Description

A showy, three-dimensional group of gemmy, green prismatic Tourmaline crystals from the famed Pederneira Mine in Brazil. The Tourmalines are covered by groups of translucent lialc colored Lepidolite in areas for a great contrast of color. Now it must be noted that Lepidolite is no longer a valid mineral species, and according to the scattered information we found, Lepidolite is defined as a mineral in the so-called Polylithionite-Trilithionite series. With that said, we're still calling it Lepidolite. A tiny bit of white bladed Albite can be seen as well. Pederneria Tourmalines are some of the most prized and acclaimed Tourmalines from any mine in the world. The specimen is in decent condition, though virtually all of the terminations of the Tourmaline crystals are contacted.
