Item Description
An impressive, large, pink tourmaline from Paprok. The color is classic "Himalaya pink" on this very glassy, highly striated, gemmy to translucent crystal. The crystal is aesthetically encased in a multitude of smaller tourmalines, a bed of near-coloress lepidolite crystals, bit of cleavelandite and a cute solitary pair of smoky quartz crystals. The termination on the large crystal is broken and healed and this termination, along many tourmalines on the sloping back side, have a sparky drusy quartz overgrowth. Basal periphery wear on the front and a single broken crystal on the back side are noted, but have very minimal impact on this dramatic and sculptural large pink tourmaline from Paprok. Overall, it is curvy and colorful and just plain impactful, especially at a good auction price. Valued at $4000-4500
