Item Description

A classic of USA tourmalines, this is from the strike of pockets at the Newry Mine in Maine, in the 1970s. The crystal and gem from the same pocket are 6.6 and 1.46 cts respectively and were obtained from Bill Larson at the time shortly after they came out. The gem is a 7mm round. From the award-winning thumbnail collection of Sharon and William Panczner, author of the book Minerals Of Mexico. The size given is for the gem crystal, small but beautiful!
