Item Description
This is a thick, darkly colored tourmaline crystal of 157 grams that has the rarest color, a purple cap, atop the termination. It is not a thick or deeply saturated purple cap, and the top is not lustrous and smooth, but it IS a purple cap and those are very rarely seen. Apparently an unusual specimen from recent production, this is a deaccession from a local private collection.
