Tourmaline w/ Quartz (New Find)

Item Description

A gorgeous pink, 2.2 cm terminated gem elbaite crystal crowns this impressive elongated combination piece from a NEW FIND from this large pegmatite field. A striking diverging spray of lustrous, vivid pink to whitish-pink elbaite prisms dominates the lower half of the piece in the matrix of more elbaites, albite and quartz crystals. This is a colorful and excellent example from a locale, that has surprisingly produced a limited number of mineral specimens and species (these turned up at the Munich show).
