Item Description
A very fine elbaite from this renowned locale. The trigonal, translucent/gemmy crystal has rich classic "Himalaya pink" color, very high luster and well-striated sides. The termination is water-clear glass. The gemmy lavender lepidolite crystals are a super accent to this outstanding Himalaya Mine tourmaline. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, this very fine crystal looks fabulous from every angle. The indentation on the termination edge is natural, not a bruise. Miniscule termination edge wear is barely noticeable. A contact on one side, where a lepidolite crystal popped off, has no damage, per se. Superior old-time material, dating to the 1950s or 60s, from the Rukin Jelks Collection, a noted Arizona collector. 65 grams mass. Valued at $4500.
