Item Description

Classic, pristine, bi-colored, doubly-terminated tourmaline crystal from the famous Himalaya Mine. The well-striated, lustrous, gemmy to translucent, layered crystal has a gorgeous, gem 6 mm termination with a frosted modified pinacoidal termination. A classic "Himalaya pink" zone is followed by a gemmier light brown layed zone. The "Himalaya pink" basal termination has a highly unusual notch, adding even more interest to this classic Himalaya tourmaline from 1970s or 1980s finds. Sculptural cleavelandite blades with pink lepidolite crystals are a fine complement and typical accessories. An excellent and iconic bi-colored Himalaya tourmaline.
