Item Description

A richly colored and interesting Rubellite Tourmaline crystal from the famous Stewart Mine in southern California. The crystal has some of the most intense fiery pink color that I have seen in a crystal this size for ANY locality in the world. To top it off, the termination has a very rare and unusual lilac hue that is not often seen in Tourmaline. On top of the unique coloration, the crystal is also rather stout and GEMMY for the locality. Admittedly, the crystal is not completely perfect as one side has an abrasion, but for the intense and unique colors, combined with the classic pegmatite locality in San Diego County, it is a worthwhile and certianly hard to find specimen for any collector. A distinctive and eye-catching gem crystal.
