Tourmaline var. Rubellite in Quartz

Item Description

An adorable thumbnail from 2013 finds at this large pegmatite field. A gorgeous pink, terminated gem elbaite crystal is encased in microcrystalline quartz. This is a colorful and very fine example from a locale, that has surprisingly produced a limited number of mineral specimens and species (these turned up at the 2013 Munich show).
