Item Description

At the end of 2011, there was a find of some attractive Tourmaline specimens from the Camp Robin area of Madagascar. These crystals were sold to me as being Liddicoatite, but as of 2011, Liddicoatite is no longer a valid mineral species. This is an excellent gemmy/translucent crystal, as it has fine form, luster and sharpness. The vibrant colors of the mottled interior range from cranberry-red to bright pink to a rarely seen golden-orange color throughout the prism. The crystal has excellent luster, is gemmy when backlit and the colors explode. The three back prism faces are etched/frosted. A very fine and pristine example of the find. 48 grams mass. valued $1600-2000
