Item Description
This slender, unusually sharp cluster is an older piece from the 1990s, that I got first in a collection around the year 2000 as I recall. I sold it and got it back again later on. It remains, to my eye, unique to this day. It is pristine, complete all around, and not repaired. At 32 grams it is no heavyweight, but it has size and presence nonetheless because it is so vertical. And its thin cross section means it is unusually, and intensely, transparent for a such a saturated blue-colored tourmaline (indicolite). Indicolites of pure and consistent color should, and do, go for a premium. They are much more rare than their green or pink cousins, and particularly so amongst Afghani specimens. This piece is valued $2500-3500. Comes with custom lucite display base.
