Item Description
A highly unusual locality and style: dark blue-capped pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystal with minor Lepidolite from a pegmatite in the Badakhshan area of Afghanistan. This translucent to transparent, cranberry-pink Elbaite crystal is graced with a termination having a thin, 1mm cap of dark blue Indicolite. "Blue caps" like this from Afghanistan are rare! Two of the prism faces have a satin to glassy luster and the third has a micro-druse of Lepidolite and the base of the Elbaite crystal is adorned with clusters of tiny pink-violet Lepidolite 34 grams
