Item Description

A classic Himalaya, with a rich, reddish-pink crystal capped by a lime green termination. In fact. the crystal is doubly-terminated! There is some etching and two old mine-run repairs (lock-fit, and hard to see, certainly invisible when backlit in a case), along with a bit of wear at the top edge, but it detracts little from the overall beauty created by the color, partial gemminess, and fine striations along the faces. 70 grams, so it is fairly hefty. Good Himalayes with such color are treasured, and hard to come by. From the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
