Tourmalines are found in literally every color of the rainbow (including black and colorless), and are certainly are among the most popular minerals in the world for dealers and collectors alike. What makes them so desirable for a lot of people is that they are one of few minerals that feature multiple colors within the same crystal, which combined with good sized display specimens and gem quality material, makes for some truly inspiring specimens. This particular specimen is from the world famous Cruzeiro Mine in Brazil. It is not only a wonderful, gemmy, HIGHLY lustrous, multi-color prism, but it has a unique combination of colors including warm pink, peach, orange and "tea" tones. The piece is complete on the front but it does have a separation mark on the back where it was contacted against the pocket wall during growth. The combination of the excellent internal clarity along with the brilliant luster and the elegant striation lines that run the length of the piece make this a wonderful example of these classic Brazilian Tourmalines.
