Item Description
Tourmaline is not only a highly colorful stone, but it's also one of the few gems in the world that occurs in natural multi-colored examples. This "Emerald" cut gem features a strong pink color on one end with a slight colorless zone in the center and an olive-green color on the other end. Yes, there are some visible inclusions, but it's important to remember that Tourmaline is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone, which means inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors. I have to say that these stones are becoming harder and harder to find these days (especially for decent prices) and they are facing competition with so many gem Tourmalines coming out of Afghanistan and Africa lately. A great naturally occurring tri-color gem for your collection. It's important to stress that there are not many natural multi-color gems out there, and Tourmalines not only continue to increase in popularity, but in value as well, as we have seen the price increase nearly every year for the last decade.
