Item Description
The Otjua Mine in Karibib was financed by funds from a group of Americans including Wayne Thompson and Gene Meieran, in the early 1990s. They actually went there themselves to see the production on one crazy trip, during which Gene brought home a piece of rough from their own mine, which cut this slice. It is 15 grams, expertly polished, and a fine example of a rare gem crystal of this size from Namibia. An old classic, seldom if ever seen today. Note this is repaired and restored, and was more a keepsake than a valuable slice, compared to others. Still beautiful.
