Here is a large and richly colored gem from one of the most productive areas in the world for Tourmaline. Tourmalines are some of the most diverse and popular gems out there, and a stone with this color is rather desirable. The stone is a very good size, intense / vibrant orange-pink ("salmon") color stone with a standard "Emerald" cut. Now the stone has obvious inclusions, but it's huge for what it is, as you rarely seen Tourmaline stones over 10 carats on the market in any capacity. The color is VERY saturated and attractive, you almost never see Tourmalines with this color from anywhere. Fine colored Tourmalines can retail for over $500 per carat, but, the inclusions in this stone keep it from being in that higher price tier. Nevertheless, this stone would look beautiful in a pendant, or alone in a gem box, and will probably end up being a great bargain for one of you.
