Tourmaline (Rubellite) (doubly-terminated)

Item Description

Here we have a beautiful single crystal of gemmy Rubellite Tourmaline with sharp, glassy faces and excellent cranberry color. The crystal glows with color when it's backlit, and is in great shape overall. Small groups of purplish-tan colored Lepidolite cover the crystal, creating a beautiful two-tone effect. The piece is actually doubly-terminated and save one small contact on the back, it's damage free. It's very good quality with great saturation of color. The crystal is in excellent shape, and would make a nice addition to any Tourmaline suite, a gem crystal collection, or a miniature collection. The piece came out of a find around 1975. Valued at $950.
