Tourmaline (Rubellite)

Tourmaline is well known for its wide variety of colors. This Nigerian Rubellite Tourmaline has a reddish-pink hue. It has an "Oval Brilliant" cut and is virtually eye clean, which is important for Tourmaline as it is classified as a "Type-3" gemstone which means that inclusions are almost always present, and are accepted by dealers and collectors, so when you find a clean stone like this, it's really important. The Nigerian material is some of my favorite of all Tourmalines. I have not seen many of these gems on the market lately, and the price has really sky-rocketed up in recent years. Enjoy!
