Item Description

A rarely seen Tourmaline specimen from Nepal! This piece is a good quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, unusually flattened prism. It features a lovely greenish-blue hue throughout the majority of the crystal, which transitions into a colorless Achroite zone, and end with a rarely seen YELLOW hue on the pyramidal termination. The actual color hues and pattern remind me of similar crystals I've seen from Haddam Neck, Connecticut. The piece is not 100% damage free, as it has a contact on the base where it was removed from the pocket wall, but it's still a good quality display specimen, with unusual coloring. If you collect Tourmalines, you have to have a Nepalese specimen in your collection. The piece weighs 2.17 grams.
