Item Description

Tourmaline might be the most colorful gems in the world in terms of the number of hues seen in gems around the world. Some of the most well-known colors like green, pink and blue are more common to Tourmaline, but this stone has a distinct silvery-blue hue, which is only seen in a very small percentage of Tourmalines. The gem has a concave/quantum "Rectangle" cut, with only slight inclusions. Tourmaline is classified as a type-3 gemstone, which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers, so a stone like this is perfectly acceptable for the material. The gem was cut from a broken crystal found at the Cruzeiro Mine in Brazil in the early 2000s. A cool stone to add to any Tourmaline suite or to match up with a crystal for "rough and cut" set. Please note that the color in stone looks a bit more green in the photo and video than it looks in person. Valued $1,220.00 retail.
