Tourmaline & Quartz (New Find)

Item Description

A gorgeous pink, 1.2 cm terminated gem elbaite crystal strikingly encased in quartz crystals is the highlight of this showy and excellent combination piece from a NEW FIND from this large pegmatite field. Fragments of elbaites scattered in the hummocky quartz crystal matrix add much color and character. This is an excellent example from a locale, that has surprisingly produced a limited number of mineral specimens and species (these turned up at the Munich Show).
