Item Description

A showy older combination from the famous Tourmaline King Mine. Numerous sections of gemmy and lustrous, olive-green tourmaline crystals richly cover the bladed cleavelandite matrix. More crystals are also embedded in the sides and are included-in the prominent coated, sharply terminated quartz crystal with frosted and water-clear faces. One side also has sections of schorl crystals to 2.5 cm. The large 360-degree quartz is nearly pristine, with only trivial termination bruising. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1985. The piece probably dates to the1960s or 70s. Very uncommon and classic combination material.
