Tourmaline, Quartz & Cleavelandite (circa 2018)

Sculptural and impressive large 360-degree tourmaline combination from a circa 2018 find at the Malkhan pegmatites. A gorgeous, gemmy 4.0 cm, doubly terminated cranberry-red tourmaline crystal dramatically dominates the piece. Scattered smaller crystals are attractively scattered on the front with another 1.7 cm doubly terminated tourmaline noted on the back. Several prominent glassy, translucent smoky quartz crystals, to 7.5 cm with unusual sharp, second generation milky quartz terminations, along with sprays of very pretty blue cleavelandite blades and tabular white albite prisms highlight the striking matrix.
