Tourmaline, Quartz and Cleavelandite

A dramatically sculptural and interesting large tourmaline combination from Pech. Classic for Pech, lustrous, striated, trigonal bi-colored tourmalines are artistically set on and in an aesthetic stacked cluster of very glassy, mostly transparent, sharply terminated quartz crystals. The tourmalines, to 5.7 cm, have typical black to very dark green bodies followed by beautiful, gemmy teal-blue indicolite sections below the modified purple pinacoidal terminations. The tourmaline pair at the crest is repaired, otherwise the piece is pristine. The impressive large quartz at the crest, 9.5 cm, is doubly terminated and has a striking spit lower termination. Scattered florets of cleavelandite blades and preferential drusy quartz overgrowths are super accessories and contrasts to this aesthetic and artistic large combination specimen.
