Item Description
There are a handful of localities in Baja California that have produced Tourmaline crystals, and sometimes they're fairly dark on the exterior, but they do have good color inside, so they are sometimes sliced and polished to better show their internal beauty. This piece is an interesting and rarely seen example featuring a mostly golden-yellow hue, with slight pink color zoning on the corners. The periphery of the piece is complete all around, with no damage. Yellow is a rare color for Tourmaline, and a piece of this size with such good internal gemminess from a lesser-known locality is really special. Specimen weight is 19.5 grams. From the diverse Tourmaline suite of Bill Larson, the well-known dealer and collector, and owner of Pala International.
