Item Description

A very attractive bi-colored Tourmaline from the famous gem mines of Mogok. These crystals were around for a short time several years ago, but have seemingly dried up, and are scarcely seen on the market. This piece features a cluster of tightly intergrown prisms with excellent form and luster creating a somewhat "flower"-like shape. The mix of gentle green and pink hues can be seen on all sides, and they actually create some orange and lavender tones in certain lighting. Upon close inspection, nearly every trigonal termination is unblemished, but there are a few contacts along the sides of the piece. A unusual and eye-catching Tourmaline that would make a great addition to any gem crystal collection or a suite of Myanmar minerals. Specimen weight is 44.82 grams. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell. Tom is a mineralogist and mineral collect who works with us here at The Arkenstone.
