Item Description
A pair of gemmy, frosted, rich pink, second-generation Rubellite Tourmaline crystals, on highly-lustrous, pink first-generation Tourmaline, from the famous finds at Mogok, Burma. Each of the heart-shaped crystals is very aesthetic, and the largest is 1.7 cm across at its widest. The habit is very attractive, and the broad, glassy mushroom that they grow on adds even more to the aesthetics. This killer thumbnail is out of Charlie's personal collection. These "mushroom" - type tourmalines are some of the most unusual Tourmalines ever found and they are much sought after. They are not so common now that there is an embargo on importing from Burma to the US; but more than that they were declining anyhow as specimen mining was diminishing. This is a SUPER thumbnail, from the Charlie Key thumbnail collection
