Item Description
A classic old time specimen of multicolor Tourmaline on Microcline from the world-famous Himalaya Mine. This piece probably dates back to the days of Potter (before Pala Properties ran the mine), and features a lovely sharp, lustrous, pink and green crystal with a very gemmy basal termination that actually shows a bit of a "cat's eye" effect on Microcline. No damage, save the base where it was removed from the pocket. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5347). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
