Tourmaline on Albite with Muscovite

Item Description

An aesthetic small cabinet sized specimen from Stak Nala, the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. This piece hosts a few prismatic Tourmaline crystals which are predominantly black in color, but there are some small areas of slight greenish, yellow and colorless zoning on the ends of a few crystals. The Tourmalines are sitting on a group of white bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite) and an accenting golden layered crystal group of Muscovite can be seen on the side of the piece. Some of the Tourmaline crystals might appear broken, but if you look closely, you'll see they are re-crystallized ("re-healed") on the ends, so there isn't as much damage as you might think.
