Tourmaline on Albite (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A pair of flattened Tourmaline crystals sit on a matrix of etched white Albite from an undisclosed locality in Brazil. The Tourmalines have a gorgeous green hue, with the largest measuring 1.0 cm. Unfortunately one of the crystals is not terminated, but the larger crystal does have a small basal pinacoid face that it facing inward towards the matrix. A nice thumbnail reference and this is classic material from Brazil, which has produced some of the most iconic Tourmaline specimens in the world.
