Item Description
From the find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan. This is a really attractive multi-color specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. This crystal features several colors ranging from a very sharp, undamaged and highly lustrous beautiful pink pyramidal termination, but whats really interesting is that the all color zones do not run perpendicular to the c axis, but rather parallel. If you look along the side of the prism you can see the outmost portion is rare colorless Achroite that ranges into a greenish-brown color and finally a dark green color at the center of the crystal. There is a beautiful rosette of white Albite (var: Cleavelandite) crystals aesthetically flaring off the base of the specimen. Rarely do you see crystals from this locality with pink terminations like this one. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality.
