Tourmaline (multicolor) with Albite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A nice miniature sized specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. These piece are well known for their multicolor crystals and beautiful aesthetics. The crystal on this piece measures 3.9 cm long and features a few colors ranging from a thin yellow-green zone at the termination, then a very thin blue-green color, which gives way to another yellow-green hue, ending with a very dark forest-green color throughout. To top it off, the crystal is associated with white bladed "rosettes" of Albite var: Cleavelandite. This is a decent display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. A little damage to the Albite, but the Tourmaline is damage free and the piece sits beautifully without the aid of a base or clay. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12870).
