Item Description
From the find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan. This is a great specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. This crystal features several colors ranging from a thin colorless ("Achroite") area at the termination, into a soft pink hue, then into a rich emerald-green color, then a very dark forest-green (virtually black) shade. To top it off, the crystals are associated with beautiful "flowers" of Albite var: Cleavelandite aesthetically flaring off the sides of the crystal. The prism of the Tourmaline is rather lustrous for the material, and the termination is JUST as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. NO damage save the bottom where it detached from the pocket. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market. Valued at $1350 in the inventory.
