Item Description
Tourmalines are some of the most diverse and popular gems / minerals out there. They're one of the few gems that occur in natural multicolor stones as well. Many of the best multicolor Tourmalines on the market today are Brazilian in origin, and remain as some of the most attractive in the gem world. This amazing set features a beautiful prismatic, sharp, lustrous, very gemmy, multicolor (mostly pink and green) crystal group of Tourmaline with very minimal damage. The vibrancy and clarity of the crystal are only rivalved by accompanying "Barion" cut gem that weighs a whopping 39.02 carats! The stone is only very very slightly included which is spectacular becuase Tourmaline is classified as a Type-III gemstone, which means that inclusions are almost always present, so when you find a huge stone like this with only the tiniest of inclusions, it's a big deal. The set is valued $6500, but the stone could be valued as much as $7800 on its own because I've seen gems like this selling for $200 per carat and more in recent months, especially overseas. Do NOT miss out on this amazing set. The fact that the stone and the crystal are so beautifully matched combined with the fact that the gem is truly world class makes this an important and worthwhile investment for anybody interested in Tourmalines This is OLD Brazilian material, dating back to the 1970s.
